Philipp Brinkmann

Philipp Brinkmann is a German-Greek entrepreneur and businessman, who currently serves as the CEO of Tripsta S.A., the parent company of tripsta, travelplanet24, and airtickets® brands. Philipp attended the Munich Business School (MBS) and graduated with a diploma in International Business Administration.

In 2005, he co-founded travelplanet24 in Athens, Greece, with Kristof Keim. The idea started while they were vacationing in Greece and had difficulties finding ferry tickets. Although the online travel business was already mature, they saw an opportunity to capture the Greek market.  In 2010, Tripsta S.A. was formed in response to European expansion. By 2015, they acquired airtickets® and became the largest online travel agency in South Eastern Europe.

As a co-founder, Philipp has worked in all departments and positions, from customer service, finance, marketing, and project management, to business development and strategy planning. His current focus isstrategy and international expansion.

He is an active member of the Greek start-up community and he serves as an advisor to Greek start-ups; Funk Martini, Spotmechanic, Spot a Wheel, Nanuka, and forky. He was previously a board member for the Greek e-Commerce Association, Spitogatos.gr, and the Greek Union of Air Travel agencies.  

Philipp is a strong believer in seeing the positive side of things. He loves his job and is fond of technology and following its rapid advancements.
